The City's Transportation System Plan proposes changes to sidewalks, bike lanes and streets that we use every day. The Transportation Commission and Planning Commission's goal was to create a system that will sustain Ashland into the year 2034. Over the next 30 years, these two Commissions are recommending that the city will spend 20-30 million dollars to improve the transportation system.
Attend the Forum on October 24th and learn answers to the following questions: -Is traffic going to get worse? -Can you walk or bike safely where you need to go? -How will the plan impact your daily life? -Is the downtown going to change? -How will the city determine if the road diet is successful? -How will we pay for all these changes?
The City Council will consider the transportation recommendations later this fall.
